Call animal control, spca, whatever your animal place is in your area, and notify them that you have lost your dog. Call vets in the area, as sometimes people will take found animals to the vet. Put up signs in the area, and put an ad in the newspaper, and get the heck back out there and start looking for the dog. Why no collar w/ name and number?? Microchipped??

Get some flyers printed with a photo of your dog. Post them in the neighborhood where allowed, at supermarkets in the area where they have bulletin boards or ask shop owners of smaller stores if you can post a flyer in their window. Go to Vets offices in the area as most of them have bulletin boards that people check. Go in person to area shelters that take in strays, usually this would include Humane Society, SPCA and City dog pound. Go to an internet site that posts lost dogs and post there. Here is one:

Put an ad in your local paper. Sometimes it helps to offer a reward and some people like to put "Needs Medication" because someone wanting to not be ethical and wanting to keep the dog may give it back for a reward if they feel it has an illness.

Well, yes you should call the pound and police about your dog. Also give a descripton of him. Maybe you should also put a few flyers at some major supermarkets near your area and maybe at some parks.

I would call close neighbors to ask if they have seen him. After about three days if he doesn't come home then start putting up posters and asking friends and neighbors to watch for him. My dog likes to occasionally go out for a walk then returns maybe a day or 2 later.

He may of found a female in heat and he has a date. Leave food and water and maybe put up some posters later. My dog, Watermelon, does that from time to time. He goes on "dates"

Ask neighbors if they've seen him, and call the humane society to leave a description.

Carry on looking for him and calling him. Check streets where you normally take him for walks.
