Truly, God had to know they were going to eat from the tree before hand. If so, why did He spend time playing hide and seek with Adam in the garden?

Your question is a jab at reality and absolutely absurd!

God is Omnipotent and knows everything from eternity past, through eternity present and to eternity to come. He never missed one iota of information that has ever existed and He never will.

When He asked Adam "Where are you?" He was not looking for Adam because He knew where Adam was hiding. It was a question to Adam to show him where he was in a spiritual sense, and make him take a look at himself.

God knows everything past, present and future instantly and without effort! He knew you would ask this question before the worlds were ever formed, and He knows everything about every person who ever lived, lives now and will live while the earth exists.

He knows every hair on the head of every human who lives and has hair, he knows the number of grains of sand on every
desert in existence and the number of drops of water in every
body of water in the universe, He knows the number of snow flakes that have fallen through all the ages of time and He also
knows precisely everything there is to know about anything there is to know and He knows it better than anyone else.

If there were on piece of information existing that God didn't know He would be less than God and no god at all, but because He is perfect that is not even a consideration.

Lets get our facts steight God's Knowledge has been and always been perfect, satan promised Eve something greater but what he did not tell her is that was not the way to get that knowledge over time God would have given her this info. without falling into sin but God gave folks a choice and the results that follow them, God knows everything and the knowledge learned from this planet this thing called sin was/is for the unfallen worlds and the angels, no when God asked where are you in the garden it was not because HE did not know where they were its as if He said, okay now that you choose to disobey where has that left you, where are you now? Hi dear friend,

You must remember that God created the human nothing less than the Angles in the Heavens. As a part of that, it means that God also gave the human the abillity to think, and make choices.

He actualy knew that His words should be respected, but Mankind was misled by satan. God knew that, and wanted to bring Human the message that his battle will not be against flesh and blood, but the evil spirits and thier leader - satan.

Yes , God knew before hand they were gonna eat from the tree of Life, as it is now days, he gave us freedom of choice! God didn't want to force us to choose him. He gave Adam and Eve the oppurtunity to do and say the right things. Eve, gave in to the temptation of Satan and believed his lies. On top of that she incourgeaged Adam to do the same.

Neither of them made the best choice!

It's a symbolic story representing man's ascension from an animal to a conscious being. Therefore - while god knew that the process of evolution would lead to this result - it was warranted. Eating the apple is symbolic of obtaining a conscience - the serpent represents wisdom and he gives man his and her ability to obtain a conscience (a soul). Historically the serpent has always represented knowledge and the bible borrows this concept from past understandings.

He knew it was inevitable, otherwise A&E would have remained naive children playing hide and seek with no worries, in the paradise garden. That was never his intention, he envisioned a modern industrial world, with people seeking knowledge for self-cultivation.

I don't take the orthodox view of the story. I don't think Yahweh is all knowing and he certainly didn't seem to know that A&E would disobey him. He seems less concerned about A&E's disobediance and more concerned with getting them out of the garden before they eat from the Tree of Life.

God is all knowing. Yes he knows everything we do, but we have to go through the transgression before we get the consequences, Adam included.

Why does he spend time playing hide and seek with all the non believers in the world?
Ask him. I'm sure it is the same answer.

God knew where Adam was....just as He knows where you are.
The question is, why do we try to play "hide and seek" with God?
