Does he still love me?

My best friend and i have been close for about three years. We just recenrtly found out that we feel the same way about each other but decided not to committ to a relationship because it's crazy time in our lives right now. It turns out he's always liked me this whole time and i had no clue. He told me that if he wants something serious and long lasting with me.

Nowadays, he'll "fish" for answers concerning other guys and always ask, "if i go out with someone, theoretically speaking, how would you feel..." I keep telling him to do it but why does he care? If he likes the other girl, then he should. This is interesting, then he said, "well, if me and some girl break up, at least i know you'll always be there..." (as a friend)

We have such a cool history together - we've been best friends - soo close, can talk to each other about everything and yet this whole time we've liked each other and didn't know.

Does he still love me? and why is he doing this?

I think he is fishing for answers not really based on any other woman but to see what your response would be.. Men are very unusual creatures.. and you have to be able to read between the lines.. If you "want" to be with him..TELL him.. men dont know how to take hints They have one track minds and are really easy to read unlike women..we can say one thing and mean the total opposite.. If hes asking your opinion chances are he is really seeing what you would do .. Say he asks you if you were dating a guy and wanted to break up with them how would you do it... then what he is really asking is if me and you hooked up how would you break my heart..telling him all he needs to know to see if your going to hurt him.. Like my dad asked me once well what if you did find out you were adopted.. (His way of telling me I was) my answer I wouldnt look for them because you have givin me all I ever wanted or needed.. therefor his answer was there without asking me the question directly.. Go For it.. your best mate would have to be your best friend...

Yes of course he still loves you, but your being too sweet about the situation. You say it's ok he believes you. In your heart you know what you want so do what your hearts says not what your mind tells you. If you wait on each other someone's going to fall in love with someone else! Dig deep to open that closed door.
