I imagine they would both have to be the same species of crocodile, therefore indigenous species to both countries couldn't inter-breed.

Australia has two types:
Freshwater Crocodiles
Saltwater Crocodiles

U.S.has two types:
American alligator
American crocodile

Worldwide, there are 23 living species of alligators, crocodiles, caimans, and gharials in the wild.

a croc is a croc and plus if they have the same number of chromozomes which they do then yes sir they can(or ma'am i didnt check sorry)
