I have found that it is better to keep your friends away from your lover. As it keeps them from stealing the lover. Smile!

Possibly it's a subconscious action to see whether or not your friends pick up on something that you've missed. Meaning, that your friends who know you will be able to tell you whether or not your new mate or potential mate has a few flaws that need to be worked out. And if your friends are stealing your potential shot at happiness, then you really need to look for a different circle of friends; the guy who decided to hook up with your "friend" isn't worth the bottom of your worse pair of shoes anyway.

I think it shows an appalling lack of trust if you try to keep your friends away from your lover; either you don't trust your lover or you don't trust your friends. None of those relationships or friendships will last too long if that's the case.

There are a lot of reasons why I would want to introduce my girlfriend to my other friends. First, I don't intend on spending time with just my girlfriend or just my friends, nor do I intend on exclusively spending time with my girlfriend without my friends or my friends without my girlfriend.

But more importantly, I trust my friends' judgment when it comes to evaluating my relationships. Granted, we've seen each other make all kinds of mistakes over the years (so I try to put that into perspective), but the point is that a friend that is removed from the situation can see offer plenty of insight that those blind in love may not recognize, and it helps to ask about those observations and get a second opinion.

Similarly, most girls I know rely heavily on their friends' approval of a potential boyfriend; some have even broken up with a boyfriend because a friend didn't like his hair. I'm not saying a friend's advice should carry THAT much weight, but I am saying that a friend's opinion is very important to both men and women.

The reason is your friends are an outreach of you. If they are true friends you would want them to know your man because both are important to you. You can all do things together. No man is an island unto himself.

well me personally my friends opinions of my lover matters. if they don't like him i wouldn't neccesarly call it quits but its good to know what they think of him. and if you have friends that u are afraid are gonna steel your lover then i'd say get some new friends.

Maybe to show off, or it could even be a territorial thing.
