After they are at least 2 years old and have had their health testing done. After you have learned about her pedigree, figured out what her faults are, and found the best possible male to breed with her. Then when she comes into season, you'll know that the male will tell you when she is ready to be bred! It's different, some are bred fairly early some are bred later in their season.. Most are approx 10-12 days.

the best for females of any breed to mate is AFTER they have been shown, been judged, been deemed to be of superior qualtiy and they have something to offer the breed as a whole,, then all the appropriate pre-natal tests need to be done $$$$$ the same goes for the stud dog... genetic health issues need to be documented at least 3 generations back in order to properly choose a stud dog........
