What should I do about the mail that keeps coming. She's getting mail as if she still lives here. I think she is using this address so that she doesn't have to pay certain bills. The mail look like important stuff.

Alot of times after a person moves, their Mail will continue to be delivered to their Old Address. I had this happen to me before and I had went to the Post office and filled out the forms for it to be forwarded to my New Address, yet some of my mail still got delivered to my old address. All you have to do when you get someone elses mail is write on it, NOT AT THIS ADDRESS, and the Post Office will deliver it correctly.

Call the local post office and tell them that so and so does not live at that address and you don't have a forwarding address they will stop deliver her mail to you and they will figure out what to do with it just return the mail to the post office and tell them you don't have a forwarding address for so and so. They will stop bringing it to your house it you call and tell them. They can't stop if they don't know that she don't live there anymore.
Good Luck

Give it back to the Post Office. You might want to take it to the local branch, hand it to the clerk and tell them -using really simple terms, these guys are not the sharpest knives in the drawer - tell them she doesn't live there.

Also, call the Post office first to insure that you are not going to the wrong branch: Just because it is closest doesn't mean that they are the one you need to be speaking with.

God knows, it probably isn't her fault. The USPS is a horrible organization which needs to be torn down and restructured from the ground up.

It is nice of you to care, however!!!!!!

I would just send it back to the address that sent it to you. Put a note on that stuff that you get saying:

Sorry, the person________ doesn't live here any more. Please stop sending this to me.

And send it back. If they send it back to you... I wouldy think it just a joke or they didn't read the note that you sent. Open it to see if it is really really important if it is I would go to the caps to see how this person is.

Just put it back in the mailbox. If you know the person, then go ahead and pass it on to them. If not, return it to the sender.
