When i wake up in the morning I don't feel like eating a hamburger or spaghetti. When i get home from work i don't really feel like eating pancakes. Why do certain foods sound more appetizing at different hours?

Habitual behavior or conventional behavior, take your pick.

You see, our bodies/minds have been conditioned since early childhood that certain foods are to be eaten at certain times; for example, cereals in the morning (breakfast) or spaghetti for main meals (either lunch or breakfast). It's all a matter of what you have been used to. There are no standards or set rules that dictate that you can not eat sirloin steak for breakfast or an oatmeal for dinner. So go ahead, and just eat whatever you are in the mood for at whatever time you please. You're okay!

I eat breakfast for dinner all the time and I have been known to have pizza for breakfast. I guess it just really depends on what you're used to eating. I grew up eating breakfast foods for dinner at least once a week, and I love it.

I usually like eating huge breakfast, even a hamburger, and I usually prefer a small meal at night. Half the time, I eat pancakes or scrambled eggs for dinner.
I guess I'm weird.

Do they really? We often have eggs or pancakes for dinner, and leftover pizza or pasta or soup for breakfast. Try it. You might really like it!!!!

Part of it is probably conditioning, but your body's need for protein and sugar changes through the day.
