I have tried their bottled water and sodas, but they also come from Florida. It takes my stomach at least a week to recover. I am about to relocate there and I have no idea what I'm going to do.Bring cases of water with me from NY? Someone mentioned that their water is highly chlorinated and that may be the cause.

The water in Florida has a high mineral content. The taste may be unappealing but it shouldn't harm you.

Hi. I live in Florida, and our chlorine content is almost the same as any other place. Our water does have more minerals though, since it comes from the aquifer. I know that sometimes the tap water can taste bad, but thats what our filters are for. I still don't see how it could make your stomach upset for a whole week though. I think that the best person to answer this questions is probably a doctor.

First of all it may be the city water that's giving you trouble. City water is notorious for getting responses like, "Uck!" upon first taste. And it's not only Florida, either.

Well water has always appeased me, but I've had it all my life and wouldn't replace it with that tasteless Dasani or really any other types, either.

Try getting used to the water in /small/ amounts. Depending on what's in what you've been drinking, and what's in what you will be drinking, there may be micro-organisms or specific nutrients in the water that your system isn't used to dealing with. It doesn't mean the water's poisoned or anything, it's just something new to conquer. You can have the water tested in your new location for low or no cost, also.

If all else fails: Boil your water, bottle it yourself, and store it for later use in your fridge.

I saw this question and I figured, "this girl must be from new york."

I go to florida every year and as soon as I take a shower after getting there, I smell the water and smile.

But when going to a restaurant and getting water not thinking "we aren't in long island anymore toto", I taste the water and go "blech"

EDIT: I additionally worked in a lab as i'm a phlebotomist/MA (at present staying at abode) and prefer i stated do no longer inhale it only bypass it by employing your nostril. **and that i've got EXP. with it! As I wakened from surgical treatment i could no longer even open my mouth w/o gagging the physician did that 4 me and it does help. i grow to be pregnant and had to have surgical treatment. i think of that the drs I worked for and the OR drs that carried out my surgical treatment comprehend what they're doing!
