cutting it is probably one of the only ways to get rid of split ends. you should probably cut about an inch or 2 off of your hair and have this done every 2-3 months depending on how fast your hair grows and how much damage you do to your hair. If you use a straightener then you should use *hot straight heat activating straightening cream* which you can get at most drug stores for about $3-6 depending on the store and its in a hot pink bottle. hope it helps!

yes, cutting is the only way to get rid of them, if they are still there after cutting then your hairdresser did not do a very good job or did not take off enough hair.
once you have gotten rid of the split ends, try using a conditioner once a week and don't overload your hair with product and just be nice to it, with gentle brushing or combing and not too much gunk

Cutting your hair is indeed the only way to get rid of split ends. You're not alone in the fact that many people aren't sure how much of their hair needs to be cut off in order to completely get rid of them. For that you need a reputable hairstylist. A great hairstylist can tell exactly how much of your hair needs to be cut off in order to look it's healthiest. Search for a good hairstylist in your area and he/she will have the ability to tell you.

Obviously, whoever did your hair did a horrible job. Use conditioner (Pantene) and it'll be gone in a few weeks.
