If you don't understand King James English, don't try to read the KJV Bible. You'll just hurt yourself.

The whole quotation you mention is this: Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven. This scripture has to do with adults trying to keep the little kids away from Jesus, and reminds us that we are all like little children when we get to heaven. We know as little as those youngsters.
Your questions are not about that scripture. Suffering children by the millions - yes, the kids bear the sins of their fathers/mothers. Where they live is about demographics. If they live in a desert with or without parents, it is still because of their parents. God sees their plight, and many die and go to be with God in heaven, which is a better place if you ask me!

"suffer (not)" in the context (and more clearly in the original Greek) meant "Do not prevent"
(the "not" does appear in a couple of versions... man's error whether purposeful or accidental)
"Don't keep the children," who were trying to get to Jesus, at that time, in that place, "from coming to me."
Mistranslation and misinterpretation abounds... especially when dealing with the most inaccurate translation of the Greek into English up until the 20'th century. (the King James)
As for "why are children dieing in the millions?" Don't blame God for man's stupidity and abuse of religion.

So why do we have sin in the world that causes such suffering and what is God doing about it? That is the whole story of the Bible. If you just read the first couple of chapters of the Bible and you will find out where sin came from. The rest of the Bible tells us about the devastation that sin has brought into the world and how Jesus Christ came to this earth to deliver the world from sin and to provide an eternal home where we would be without sin and without suffering.

Jesus died so that He could take our sins. If He had not died, we would live in a dismal world... with no promise of Salvation and no gifts of grace or mercy....
"Suffer not the little children... to come unto me, forbid them not for such is the Kingdom of heaven"... does not mean they will not suffer... it means, do not make a fuss when children seek God... because that is His plan for all of His people to come unto Him and seek Him.
Children will die... there is no promise that they will all grow to be adults or not suffer... but they will see God... they are innocent, as are the meek and the people who lack mental capabilities... that is their promise.

Jesus ascended into heaven because he completed what he was sent for. God didn't leave, He is still here in the form of the Holy Spirit.
There is a story about a man who was walking with God and observed crime, homelessness, and despair. Why don't you send someone to do something about this, he asked God. I did, God said, I sent you.
Far be it from me to pretend that I know the answer as to why there is suffering in the world. I suspect that God decided to give us free will instead of making us mindless automatons to be used as his playthings. Because of that, people have the free will to do evil as well as good. God promised that He would be with us during the bad times. Through Him, we can do wonders. So, if there is evil in the world, it's our fault.

You misquote In the King James Version (17th Century English) Jesus said "Suffer (ie permit) little children to come to me."
They are suffering because we are selfish and do not follow God's way of love.

Suffer the little children's to come unto me and forbid them not for they searches the kingdom of God . That has nothing too do with the death of so many children's. Don't get it twisted you cannot make a mock out of God, Check this out . If my people who are call by my name will humble them-self and pray Turn from there wicket ways seek My face then I will hear from heaven and HEAL THE LAND.!!!!!!!

I`m sorry but you can`t blame the suffering of children at the door of developed countries.
Every year thousands of children die from starvation, famine and disease in third world countries, yet every year there are thousands born to suffer the same fate.If I thought my children were going to die like that I would not have them in the first place, maybe education and contraception would help.

I totally agree with the first answerer. Why blame GOD for the ungodly things that humans do to little children.
You have taken the bible verse out of context. It says "suffer little children to come unto me."

Start enjoying the fact that you are alive, and obviously are also one of the more fortunate people in this world. You have access to a computer for a start, which puts you in the top 10% of the worlds population.
If you carry on thinking those thoughts, you will end up spending the whole of your life being sad.
