Your vet has a doggy pregnancy test he can give her. He can also stop the pregnancy if you or he feels there may be problems.

Prob the 1st thing is the nipples get big. That happens before the stomach is too noticeable. She can get pregnant before she is even 1 year old, so she easily could be now.

Our Chow had 2 litters before she was one so we had her spayed.

Don't be worried about what they will look like, jsut be surprised.

All you people saying she's too young are crazy. At one she is basically an adult!

You should def talk to a Vet about how to prepare for the pups if she actually is preg.

And I'm sorry, but how can she DIE from getting pregnant by an "unkown mutt"? As opposed to a known show dog?

http://www.petcaretips.net/dogs_in_heat.html will give you information as to whether or not she was in heat. If she was, how and when was she out of your control long enough to get pregnant? First heat can occur at 6 months to a year of age, so yeah, she's was beyond that point.

I'd get her in to the vet to find out for sure, and take care of any health concerns that need to be taken care of. If she isn't, perhaps it's time to consider the kindest cut of all, spaying.

I wouldn't worry about the age of your dog and her being pregnant. However the gestation of a dog to have puppies is very short, 2 months. You will want to be very careful with her as the puppies are growing inside. It won't take long and she will start to show. I am not a vet but have raised a lot of dogs. Best of luck to you and your pooch.

If she is pregnant, she'll be okay. I've heard of dogs getting pregnant as early as 4 months!! It's crazy and ridiculous but it happens. 1 1/2 to dogs isn't as young as we'd think.

It is too young for her to be pregnant this young. You should take her in to be spayed.. Vet will tell you if she was pregnant or not.
