MRI's do not hurt, you lay still on a table and the machine takes pictures, they are better than x-rays. I had 2 and no hurtie!

Nothing more than a sophisticated 3D x-ray. No, there is no pain associated with an MRI. They have open MRI for those who suffer from clostrophobia. They generally take about 1/2-1 hour depending on what the doctor orders. Most even give you head phones with music. Me, I just fall asleep and let them wake me up when all is done!

MRI's don't hurt but if you're chlostophobic it can be stressful. They put you in a tube and it's loud with lots of buzzing and clicking sounds. They give you headphones for music but it doesn't drown out the noise. Make sure you remove ALL jewelry! And if you have any metal plates or anything in your body they can't do MRI. Relax. You will be fine. Hope your back feels better soon!

An MRI is a large donut shaped machine that has a bed in the middle of the hole. (some are open) They lay you in the bed and cover you up. then they turn on the machine and the bed goes into the hole part. Nothing touches you and as soon as the pictures are taken they let you get up and go. No pain at all unless it is hard on your back to lay stil for about 15 minutes. Hope this helps.

No, an MRI won't hurt. They lay you on a table and slide you into a large tube where you're scanned with radio waves that you will not feel. It only takes a few minutes and you can always talk to the people doing the scan.

It's completely painless and can tell the doctors what exactly is wrong with your back so they can treat it properly.

An MRI doesn't "hurt", but it can be uncomfortable, especially for someone with a back injury, as you must lay very still, flat on your back.

If you're claustophobic, you might want to ask you doctor about having it done at a center that offers one of the new "open ended" machines, as the older "closed" machines are tantamount to lying in a closed casket!

An MRI is like a xray and does not hurt at all.
