I seem to be attracted to people who are about as attractive as I am, but I seem not to be attracted to people who are significantly better looking (Except from a purely aesthetic standpoint) or less good looking than I am. In the real world, most couples I see are more or less equally attractive. Do people most often have crushes and fall in love within their own "league" so to speak, or do they "settle"?

You have to take other factors into consideration besides just looks. A great personality can put a below-average looking guy into a higher league than a great looking guy with low self-confidence, for example. With that in mind, yes I think it all evens out.

I understand what you are asking, but the question is what is withthin your league. People are normally attracted to someone who is opposite from your own personailty. But two people need to have some things in common. I really don't believe anyone is out of someone's league. We are all from different backgrounds of life. If you are truley attracted to someone it doesn't matter. Love know's no dollar signs ,color or race. If you are truley attracted to someone it just isn't going to matter.

I'm not exactly Adonis, nor am I mirror cracking material, but I'd say that it was because I was....boring,look-wise,as it were, I don't really look for a person who's the same "league" as me. What matters to me is the persons personality and intelligence. Beauty is only skin deep after all.

I am attracted to girls both in and out of my league, but not the ones that I'm out of their league. I fall into that high middle league. Not super hot, but above average as far as looks go.

It's weird because I always like guys that my friends consider out of my league or sometimes I go for guys in my league so its most likely in the same league.

It kinda depends. At the moment, I like a guy that most people would consider out of my league (He's popular, I'm about average). Anyway, I think you change leagues if you date someone that's "out of your league". If you date someone way more popular than you are, usually you get more popularity. It probably just depends on a person's preferences.
