I will like to make phone calls on my computer using a phone line and headphones with microphone?

Is there any free software so i can call from Computer
I have Windows Xp home

all downloads are free, but calling a land-line still cost ya, but its very cheap....check out voice.yahoo.com....we all use it!! no, like I said, only PC to PC is free....skype has a yearly fee now too.....

Skype is free if the other person has it. I think really, that you have to put out money if you want to do it on the phone lines. Everyone needs to be paid for their services.
