corydon was the first state capitol, it has the old buildings and lots of historical intrest, to the west is the Lincoln Boyhood home historical site and park, and to the east is Albany and the fabulous Culbertson Mansion you can see, its said to be haunted. a little north and west of lincolns home there is Santa Clause Indiana and the theme park. south is Evansville with the university, East of the interstate and louisville is Madison Indiana with the boat races on the Ohio. Rising Sun at the east corner of indiana has a gambling boat on the river. go north and west to the border of indiana and see New Harmony, its an old town where a strange religious cult formed by father george rapp lived in wait for the end of the world, the buildings they made and lived in are neat and the maze garden is cool, and above that is Vincinnes where the capitol of the North West Territory was held, also president Harrisons home when he was the territorial governer, and the site where Lewis and Clark began their trek west to find out just what the north west territory held, You can go about straight north in the fall and see the beautiful territory of Brown County and tour the little town of Nashville that draws hundreds of thousands of tourists every october, to see the artist colony and the beautiful fall colors. Not far from brown county is Indiana University in Bloomington where you can see the lovely old university buildings and the really eclectic town that caters to almost any sort of taste in the world as there is a really varried population of students and staff, there is also a budhist temple and monestary, check it out then go down town to eat at the snow lion. the owner of the snow lion is a retired professor and the brother of the dali lamma. there is more than one winery in the area, i reccomend visiting Oliver winery and getting a bottle of camelot mede. its a honey wine that is truly ancient. there are state parks you will enjoy all over, I miss my indiana home in brown county. but ill go back some day.

I live in Salem, about 35 minutes north of Corydon. Corydon is a nice town. There is plenty of shopping, and historic areas. There are lots of recreational areas in southern Indiana too. Plus with it being on a major interstate, it is easy to get to Louisville and just about anywhere else.
There is Huber's orchard and winery in nearby Starlite Indiana. They have an annual Strawberry Festival. Actually, just about every town in the area has some kind of festival at least once a year.
The crime rate in Corydon is pretty low too. It is a nice town.

i have lived in this area most of my life, currently i live in new albany which is 15 minutes from corydon and closer to louisville. corydon has a couple of small clothing stores (marices, fashion bug) also has a walmart. main places to eat are o'charley's, crackel barrel, mcdonalds, white castle, arby's, wendy's, taco bell, burger king, long john silvers, and there are also some smaller places to eat. i myself dont like the place because there is NOTHING to do...there is a mini indoor golf place adn a bowling alley but other than that there is nothing. btw corydon is quite infested with meth

You will LOVE it, if you like small towns.
If you dont you could consider moving to Louisville as the commute is not really that bad.
The cost of living is very low and it is still small town enough where you can leave your doors unlocked at night.
Welcome to the area!
