I want to get dentures, but my insurance will not cover them because they are considered "cosmetic". Does anyone know of any programs that can help me? I could afford some form of monthly payment but not the total cost all at once.

Go to a dental school. Even if you have to travel, it's well worth it.

My insurance didn't cover my root canal. I went to USC dental school and had it done for free.

If you are in the US, I don't know of any insurance clause that would call dentures "cosmetic" if you are missing a number of teeth. Since you don't say where you are from, it's hard to say what insurance outside the US might allow.

In some states, licensed Denturists can make dentures without a dentist on-site. They are considerably less expensive than seeing a dentist.

Of course, a Denturist is not a doctor and cannot screen for diseases of the mouth.
