Why do I always want to exercise when I'm drunk? Is that bad for you? Will you still get the same benefits as when you're sober exercising? Do other people do this?

alcohol depresses the CNS, exercising when drunk is a very good way to send the heart into arrest.

I have done it a few times. I try to get the workout done before I get drunk but it doesn't always work out that way. I would recommend not making a habit out of it. Because you have to figure that when you are working out your body is using the fuel that you put into it from earlier in the day, I don't think alcohol makes a very good workout fuel. I'm no scientist but, I don't think its good for you. I do notice that when I do it I am not as strong as I should be. If you are going to be drunk when you work out I suggest that you drink plenty of water before during and after. working out dehydrates you and alcohol is a diuretic, so I think that ultimatly you are putting more stress on yourself then your body wants.

I do too. I really hate running but if I do it semi drunk then it doesnt seem so bad. Yes you will get the same benefits as when you are sober. Burning calories happens no matter what.
