This is what people (some more famous than others) had to say about Christianity. This video I made only have a small number of the quotes I found. Most of the quotes were so good I could not decide which ones to leave in or take out.

@ mjb63114: I know. But few Christians realize that their religion has a dark side. These quotes show that. I just want people to think about their beliefs.

I think these quotes reveal the horrid depravity of man, the truth of our Lord's words was shown: "Light was come into the world, but men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil; for he that doeth evil hateth the light." The truth was not to their taste. And we all know how soon a man will contrive, against the strongest evidence, to reason himself out of the belief of what he dislikes. But a man cannot be brought to greater slavery than to be given up to his own lusts. The nature of man, whether pagan or Christian, is still the same; and the charges of the scripture apply more or less to the state and character of men at all times, till they are brought to full submission to the faith of Christ, and renewed by Divine power. There never yet was a man, who had not reason to lament his strong corruptions, and his secret dislike to the will of God. Therefore this is a call to self-examination, the end of which should be, a deep conviction of sin, and of the necessity of deliverance from a state of condemnation.

I am a Christian. You did a nice job putting the quotes together. When I read them I just felt sad. How bitter and hopeless those people sounded. I think we all know about the terrible life of Napolean Bonaparte. I am so grateful that I have the peace of Jesus in my heart. I often wondered how it would feel to not have that peace. Reading those quotes helps me understand what that would feel like. Ouch!

I am a Christian and proud of it. Christians aren't trying to take over the world, they just want to let people know the peace of having God in their lives. There are a minority of Christians who have some bad ideas, but most of us would like to see people like you give God a chance. That whole clip is depressing. Just because some famous people don't believe in God, doesn't make them experts and doesn't make them right. You ought to walk into a church some time and you'll see what love feels like. It's unbelievable. Take care.

Hello Dark Hollow.. :)
I read all of it..I thank the Lord, that my life does not reflect what many said they see in Christians..
Anyone can call themselves a Christian..but if your life does not show Love, Peace, Joy, Kindness, Gentleness and a Humble heart, than you are not a born again Christian..
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

Some of the quotes seem a bit overlong, but it is very good. The only suggestion I would make is to add a quote each from Thomas Jefferson and John Adams.

As a video it is very well done. As an apologetic, which I assume is its purpose, it offers no evidence other than a series of opinions. You show that a number of people throughout history have hated Christianity, well, I already knew that.

i think it is an interesting video. but it is one sided it raises sum trough points but needs to show the issue from all perspectives. the video also focuses at probably only one time period. around the time of the crusades where many innocent people were slaughtered in the name of "Christianity" but this violence should not be considered Cristian. just like terrorism aimed at civilians should not be considered Islam.

A very interesting collection of quotations. Some of them I agreed with; some of them I did not.
The sad thing is, many Christians will have no idea who most of the people you quoted were.

Thank you for your video link. It's people like you that make me even more stronger in my faith with God.
Were those people suppose to impress me ?
Well they didn't. I could also quote people that you might know who would defend the Bible and God.
But I really don't think you care. I feel sorry for you.
The sad thing is many atheist don't know God.

I did not go to this site. I don't believe in FAMOUS people. Why is a FAMOUS person's opinion of more value the any one elses? Why do we put FAMOUS people on a pedestal and act like they are the be all to end all and filled with great wisdom? I don't put people's opinion above what the Bible tells me. If a FAMOUS person disagrees with the Bible then they are wrong.
