I used to be.
I'm a pretty good friend to myself when I get out of the way long enough to allow GOD's will to work.

A remark : Your name TTC in french is the abbreviation for including all taxes
Now to answer your question, yes. Absolutely. We are what we think and we often do more harm to ourselves. If you start feeling afraid, lacking confidence, you will gradually become a coward and you will make yourself become the greatest obstacle to overcome many problems in life.
We are our worst enemies because often we make mistakes and repeat them again. A lack of religious teachings, or moral teachings is often the cause of it. A healthy mind is an aware mind and an aware mind is a conscious mind.

Absolutely. We eat things that are bad for us. We are insecure and convince ourselves that we are not worthy. We sabotage ourselves. We follow the crowd and don't listen to our own inner voices. I can see clearly looking back that almost every jam I've ever been in was caused in some way by me. If we treated other people the way we treat ourselves we'd be locked up.

No, but those that believe it will experience
it. This is one of the problems I have with many ideas, such as, 'the ego must die to itself', 'mankind is evil by nature', 'the flesh is opposed to the spirit'. These beliefs pit one portion of the self against another portion, and the self becomes divided.

Yes - our lack of self-knowledge leads us down paths that are bound to be unsuccessful. Of course some people avoid this curse though. But most people do self-defeating things - on the job, or in relationships, or both.

I think so sometimes. I think we are our own worst critic.I think we sometimes are to harsh on our selves. I think sometimes we expect to much from our selves.

Depends, does one "know" who they are or does one have a "belief" of what they are as taught by society and religion?
