What we did with our furry baby was that we went and purchased a life like doll and washed it in the baby bath we were going to use, rubbed the lotion that we were going to use and put the brand diaper on it that we were going to use. This helped her get used to the smell of the new baby. We also held the doll around her and made sure that we paid attention to her as well. When we saw that she was getting comfortable around the doll we would set it on the floor on a blanket and sit on the couch and watch her. When we saw that she wouldn't hurt it we went the next step and walked out of the room, at first she would go up and smell it and walk away and go to her "room" but eventually she became accustomed to it and would even lay by it. Once this happened we got a tape of a baby crying and would play it sort of louder then normal so she would get used to the sound. Once the real baby came we used a lot of the same techniques. Our furry baby and now 6 year old daughter are best friends. Our lab wont let her out of her site when outside.
The biggest thing to remember is to not push away your dog when with the baby. This can cause bad feelings and resentment. Make the dog feel like its helping you take care of the new little one.
Good luck

If your furry baby is well behaved don't worry about it too much. They will very interested at first. New sounds and movement. If it possible have a friend who has a baby record the daily sounds of the baby, crying, laughing, squealing and so on. Play the recording for the dog a couple of times a day. We also had a friend bring home a blanket from the hospital to give to the dog to familiarize the scent of the baby. Good luck and don't worry

Maybe take an extra obedience classto brush up on the basics. Usually its the humans who need to be trained. You need to learn to be firm with your dog and set rules and limits. There's no reason a dog can't be happy in a house with firm rules. Start by training the dog to stay out of whatever room you are going to use for the baby. Teach the "wait" command as you enter and exit the room. Then praise the dog for waiting outside the door for you.

Make sure the dog knows that the baby is the alphabeing. Make sure the baby isn't scared of the dog and show the baby how to show the dog that the baby is boss and if the dog did anything to harm it you wouldn't be ok with it

get a lifesize doll and carry it around with you for about a month before the baby is due. The dog will get used to the sight of it, and you could maybe spend time with doll when you would be spending time with your dog.
My mum did this when she was expecting me, and my dogs were really well behaved when i was born. my parents would even leave me alone with the dogs.
