I put ours together (twice) and didn't wait for my husband. Unless he wants you to wait, I say go for it.

It depends on the crib. WIth our first son, it took 3 people. 2 of them being handy men. And the second son my fiance did it all alone. Some have springs, some like horizontal bars underneath. I would wait. You shouldnt really be doing all the lifting and bending. Why not paint a picture for the new baby, or start a journal or something.... GOod luck and congrats!

if you have a nursery.. then do it whenever you want. But if u dont have alot of room, you dont even need to do it till after she/he is born. The baby probly wont go straight into the crib as you will have him/her in your room. But it all depends on your space... With my son, he had his own room so i set it up at like 6 months and made his room perfect. But with this baby, the kids will be sharing a bed room so Im not setting the crib up until last minute or even after he/she is born. Good luck!!!

I'm nesting really badly too. My crib is still unassembled and I am dying to put it together.
Try talking to your hubby and see if he can schedule the crib assembly into his schedule.
If you really feel the need then just be careful and get only as far as you can. If you can't do it then walk away, no matter how much it kills you. Don't hurt yourself or the baby over it.
Happy nesting!

Put the thing together yourself. I assembled two cribs for my son (one at my house, the other at his father's house), and my daughter's super heavy convertible crib. Both times I was frighteningly close to my due date. You'll feel better getting it done, and you won't have that guilt for feeling like a nag....

My hubby was deployed with the USMC when I was preggo with our first. I put it together, took pictures throughout, even one of myself pouring sweat (it was july and I was nearly due myself!)
It was a lot of work...but I felt SO accomplished afterwards! Good luck!

It is a little easier with 2 people, but very much possible for one person to do it. Take your time and I am sure you can build it with no problem!!

You should be able to do it on your own. Read through the instructions, but I think hubby and I have both done it on our own before.

If you are on bedrest than wait. Even though we nearly killed each other putting it together every time I look at it I realize we both did it together for our first.

Its probably possible, but I must warn you it is kind of difficult. At least with mine, everything was a tight fit. It would have been pretty frustrating trying to do it by myself.
