i don't see why you would want to gain weight. Your weight is perfect or even a little over for your age group. It depends on your height. You should check with your doctor and ask him if everything in your body is okay and if you should gain weight.

To safely add weight (a pound or 2 a week) eat at around 500 calories more than you usually would. It might help to find out how many food calories you need first. If you want to "bulk up" which is always good since you want to add weight consider taking protein after your workouts.
If you do choose to workout (weight lift) you should eat lots of protein from things such a fish, chicken, meat, ect...and after workouts take a protein shake with whey protein because it is a "recovery" protein and is pretty quick. Whey protein isolate is one of the better ones.

There is also casein protein, which you might want to take prior to a workout or before bedtime because it is a slow release protein which gives out a steady release of amino acids.

Remember 500 calories more a day...a pound a week..
Good luck.
