I'm sixteen and five foot five and three quarters I was wondering what age do the majority of girls stop growing? My mom is five foot seven, my dad is six foot two. My aunt who I mostly take after in traits is five foot six. I was just wondering when do you think I'll stop growing? My step dad said you most likely won't know until you're eighteen. What do you think?

It varies from person to person. Common thought is that you pretty much stop growing once you're done with high school.

But I'll tell ya...I was 5'10" when I graduated high school, and grew another two inches in college! You could still have some more growing to do, based on your dad's height.

There's really no great way to tell what your final height will be. It's lame, but you'll just have to wait and see.

Well as far as my limited medical knowledge is, girls generally grow faster than boys during the puberty period but end faster than boys - boys top growing until they reach about 21 years old, while girls generally tend to stop growing at round about 18. I also remember reading that this 18 years is also not a definite thing - it relies on various factors like genetic makeup, dietary habits and such. So yeah, your stepdad would be correct in a way.

I would be happy to be tall. My 5ft.1 1/2 is not always that great.
My doctor told me that girls usually stop growing about 16 and guys 18. Proved to be true with me anyway.
Be proud of who and what you are no matter what.

You'll stop growing by the time you are 18, unless you have some strange medical condition.

Physical growth(height) would normally stop around 23-25yrs but we never stop growing in wisdom and spiritually.
