Let him slide this time I'm assuming this is the first time he's done something like this though. Anyway, talk to him and tell him how you feel and if he cares for you, he'll change his ways. Believe me, I have been exactly where you are. In my case, the guy had any lame excuse as to why he couldn't go with me anywhere I invited him. Also to top that off if I said ok can I hang with you and your friends?, he told me that they would be all over me and I wouldn't want to be around a bunch of guys drinking and smoking....just plain BS. So do you know what I did? I went out with MY friends clubbing, parties, NYC ect. to have a good time without him. The last thing you do to a man like that is sit and be sad about what he's doing because then he'll know he has you like that and you'll always be sitting around waiting for him like he controls your life and happiness.

If you want more than a friendship then I suggest you get a clue...He doesn't want any more than a friendship, even if that. He maybe trying to break it to you gently that he has other interests. And if you happen to be a "friend with benefits" stop that immediately!! It didn't win him over and you are wasting your time. Move on and don't look back...

Be direct or drop it. He is not a mind reader and shouldn't have to be. He might be thinking that you are acting all weird and wondering what is up with that.

he doesn't want to miss anything. in other words, you sound like his backup. he'll do things with you if there isn't something better going on. that's not a good friend, so why do you still want his friendship?

Good intentions are NO good if he never does anything to honor them... if he intends to do good he will. A person is defined by what they do, not what they meant to do.
