subtlely flirt at say,a grocery store?I've heard some that say it is,but maybe they just mean lame pick-up lines.I never use those.I'm talking about if you strike up a conversation, and later ask for her number,is that tacky?I find that most of the girls that look and smile at me are when I'm at the store.I always think,if I end up with this girl,I'll have to explain to my kids that I met their mother at Wal-Mart lol.

haha that was funny...no I don't think so..just as long as you don't say something REALLY stupid like most guys do but if you strike up a conversation then I'd say cool...just don't make her feel like your a stalker or something to freak her out lol

Telling your kids that you met their mother at wal-mart is much better than tellling them you met her at a strip club. And flirting at the grocery store is a good thing, at least they are their to buy food of some sort and that way at least you know that they do know their way around the grocery and maybe, just maybe can do a little cooking :) I say if you see what you like and you like what you see, go for it!

Nothing wrong with that at all. I use to work at Target and every year on a certain date this guy and girl came in and took pictures at the customer service section. Finally one year I asked them why every year I saw them doing this (I worked at target for 5 years) Here the day after Christmas they both were in line returning items and they struck up a convo. He got her number and two years later they got married. They said they would have never met if it wasn't for Target. I think its the cutest thing ever (I'm a hopeless romantic) So if you do it classy, you will do just fine... just don't do the horrible pick up lines!

Not tacky at all. Stores are a great place to meet people. If your interested and she seems receptive - flirt away. It makes a cute story for your kids some day.

it is not tacky. If you arent using those lame pick up line and dont seem too desperate its not tacky. If it makes you feel better ask for her number outside of the store

LOL.. The short answer is no, its not tacky. And sometimes, even the tackiest lines can lead to great friendships/relationships as long as you don't take yourself too seriously when you offer them. (Wouldnt hurt to take a tic-tac and check your fly first, tho)

its not laim it funny but not laim, just think you could have to try to explain, say, meeting in a bar bathroom, lol , so stick with the walmart story. A lot of people do meet in grocery stores.

I wish I were as ballsy as you. It seems like something that would work if you were confident enough. Unless you were some sort of complete weirdo, and even if you were, you'd probably have no way of knowing, so you might as well assume that you aren't some sort of complete weirdo.

Go get 'em, dude!

no its not tacky, you have to take oppotunities, otherwise how would you meet people, not just girls, everyone, you cant make all your friends for like at school or work, its good to befriend/go out with a range of women. and thats exactly wat you get from meeting people at random places.
