How do I stay away from the friend zone?

I met this girl and im not exactly sure of were we are yet in the relationship. I ran into her at a casino and talked to her for about an hour and got to know her a little. Then when we were through at the casino I told her to stop by my restaurant sometime, and she did one day before she had to go to work, and we talked a little more. And I asked for her number and I got it. But the question I have is, my friend that she works with (she's a girl) asked how things are starting off, and supposedly she said she likes to hang out with me, but she's not sure about dating. So how can I make it so she doesn't put me in the friend zone?

Sounds like she sees you as just friends. Unfortunately the Ladder Theory hits too close for comfort at times like this. Just be as confident and self-assured as you can be in your normal everyday life. Don't ever come off as needy. If she senses that, or any other woman for that matter, it's over for sure. For her to come around and see you as dating material may take time. I mean, how many people in this world pick the right one for them the first time around? Very few, even if they get married.

Dude, that is the ultimate question. I'm trying to get out of it myself. My guy friend is so perfect and we get along great, but I still can't get out of it no matter how many hints I drop.
