I'm with you on this one. Love can't be thrust upon anyone. It takes time.
I do however think that at first sight, some people will know that they will one day love that person.
But first sight is purely physical, and that being said, makes it superficial and shallow. So the "first sight" would not be love. More like a strong physical desire for that person.

I didn't believe either...till it happened to me! It is so INTENSE! People watching me and him look at each other were like, "Woah! Something is going on here!" It's an incredible feeling!

Not only do you get the usual butterflies in you stomach but you get this weird feeling of your soul dancing and your brain actually gets tingles and releases some "happy" chemical! It's phenomenal! It only takes 1 look and neither person has to say anything - it just happens! It feels like all of the dreams you had of the guy you were destined to be with are physically right there in front of you!

I don't suggest you become an instant believer in love at first sight. It is not something you should have any preconceived notions about. You shouldn't be looking for signs or you might not actually see them! But you will know when it happens to you! Then you have no choice but to believe!

What do you really know about someone when you look at them? Their appearance. Maybe their scent. Perhaps a hint of their personality based on how they're dressed, what they're doing, or who they're with.

So would you call an attraction that was based almost entirely on someone's appearance and smell love? No... I think the proper word for that is lust.

Of course, if this lust is acted upon and you spend enough time with someone, it seems perfectly plausible that it could DEVELOP into something else, even if it wasn't initially. The transition might be so subtle that the person might not even notice.

Love at first sight? No. Lust at first sight? Sure.

I totally believe in Lust at first Sight, but Love at first Sight is a bunch of BS. Love at first Sight is just for sentimalists and people who've managed to make Lust at first Sight into a loving relationship.

Definitely! The first time I saw my husband I knew he would be the guy I married and I didn't even know him. Like a year later we finally started hanging out in the same group and I was right on the money.
Sometimes you have to believe in something before it can be true.

No, I don't personally don't believe in love at first sight. You won't have actual love when you first see/like someone. That isn't true love. I mean isn't that just a little weird?

I think that "love at first sight" is when you see a person, and the first thing that attracts you to them isn't their looks, but it seems something much deeper than that, and inside it feels as if your stomach just turned.... i think that's a clear sign that that person is something special

No, I don't think there is Love at first sight.

There is lust at first sight, and perhaps a special connection/chemistry that you feel with a person, but I would not count that as love at first sight.
