i know that i might need to change the intake and the timing chain cover,but i need to know if the mounts will match

Maybe yes and maybe no. See, most cars by both GM and Ford use what's called a "body system" to tell the repair shops what is and isn't compatible with other cars form that year or the previous years. For example: Chevrolet Cavaliers are a "J" body car as are Pontiac Sunbirds/2000's, Oldsmobile Fierenza's, and one model of Cadillac. Any part off of one of these cars(not counting certain cabin cosmetic parts) will fit any of the others here just fine, if not cheaper or better depending on the circumstances. Ask the dealership for an engine/transmission conversion chart to help you better.

it might...the 3.1 is interchangeable with a few different cars, the lumina & monte carlo included
