It has been more than 3 years since I start drinking starbuks and never asked them any refill. Few days ago some one told me I can get a refill for only 0.45 instead of paying 1.55 for tall coffee, also he told me they will give me a new cap. Today I found my old cap and went to the startbuks to get my coffee. Guess what? They give me a new coffee but did not change the cap? My question is.
1. How long I have to get refill from the time I get my first coffee?
2. how many times I can get refill?
3. do I have a right to demand a new cap?

Did I say 3 years I meant 13 years. I spent lots of money in startbuks. I feel if I save all the money I spend I could own one of them

by they way when I took the cup back it did not know how long it was in my car. I had several of them and took one of them I thought I will get a new one. When the barista gave me back the old cap I was so embaressed and did not ask any thing just take it as it is. By the way I am a regular customer and they know what I want before I order. I know who get hired and who get fired and who was the first manager and I was the few first people on their first day of business

Are you asking about a cup or a lid? New policy states no time limit or amount limit during the day on refills, but you must bring your cup back. The discount is for already having the cup, so you are really in no place to demand a new cup. As for a new lid, just ask them for a new one and it should not be a problem. Please do not "demand" anything as it only makes you look like a jerk and makes the partners less likely to want to help you out. I will often give out new cups if the old ones are really worn, IF the person seems nice and appreciative. If they are not, no new cup, sorry. You reap what you sow.

One refill, same store, same cup, same time (right after you drink your first cup)
