Does anyone know if Purina MightyDog pouches or cans are included in this recall?

Thanks in advance.

I heard on the news last night that it's only the Menu Foods brands that are unsafe.

Proctor & Gamble announced Friday the recall of specific 3 oz., 5.5 oz., 6 oz. and 13.2 oz. canned and 3 oz. and 5.3 oz. foil pouch cat and dog wet food products made by Menu Foods but sold under the Iams and Eukanuba brands. The recalled products bear the code dates of 6339 through 7073 followed by the plant code 4197, P&G said.

Purina is not made by Menu Foods and therefore is not in the recall. Purina is its own entity and their foods won't be any part of this particular problem. That said, mighty dog is still not a very high quality dog food.

NO. Purina has recalled Mighty Dog packets. Though it's not "part of the recall", they have been forced to reveal that in fact, this Purina product is subcontracted through Menu Foods, who produces it for Purina. They're not "their own company".

Purina is not saying what other products of theirs are subcontracted to Menu. Buyer beware. Feed your pet dry food for now if you can. That's safe.

Purina is fine (it is made by another company), but be sure to stay away from any Iams, Eukanuba, Nutro, and Natural Choice canned food because they are also included in the recall.
