That's a silly question.

If a 6'4" 240 lb soldier got in a fight with a 5'8" 150 lb marine, the soldier would win.

If a 6'4" 240 lb marine got in a fight with a 5'8" 150 lb soldier, the marine would win.

But if you want a real answer:

Which ever one knew how to fist fight better would win, what branch of the military they are in is irrelevant.

Being the son of a marine who is 64 and fought in Vietnam; I have to agree with the guy who said "grab his testicles", since that is exactly what my dad taught me to do. No I'm not gay, it's just the fact that it's the quickest and easiest way to dispatch an opponent. Think about it: you are grabbed from behind, your arms are pinned, and you can tell the attacker is a male. All you have to do is lean forward, take their weigt a little bit, grab, and squeeze. He'll let go faster then anything. Sure it's cheating, and dirty, but then again, you'll survive, won't you?

The guy who didn't start it and realizes that getting into fights is just plain silly and childlike and will therefore go further in life. So I guess the soldier wins because there are fewer "hard core privates" in the army.

probably who is more committed to winning that particular fight. Fist fights are not a good barometer of military prepardness.

My money would be on the Marine...No guarantee though. It is all a matter of who gets the upper hand and who is mor interested in winning...Marines don't like losing..so watch out

generally, marines do win, but then again I am partial to marines. They (marines) have the toughest basic training of all the military branches in this country.

The Marine wins. Not some macho Marines are better than army thing. Simply this.

In the Army, they are taught to win.

In the Marines, they are taught to survive.

I got in a fight with an army guy once, stupid argument gone to far kind of thing. He threw the first punch, I used his testicles to put him on the ground. Yeah, we cheat a lot.

Depends on which one knows how to fight better. They both learn a form of cqc (close quarters combat) in basic.
