I have been to court. Raised my right hand and swore to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. No Bible no mention of God. It is my understanding that is now the norm in the US.

I don't know, but I do know that the courts will substitute whatever holy book is used; i.e., Muslims will be given the Koran instead of the Bible.

Also, one does not have to swear at all, but can affirm.
