I did try when she was young, and sitting and reasoning with her at 2 yrs old will not work....

I have slapped her hand, told her off, sat her in the corner........its a bad habit, and yes it is gross hence me asking for help.........

Toddler do things like that. Slapping her hand, telling her off? Children do not respond well to discipline that way. Try to ignore it. I know you think it is disgusting that she does it but she is only 2 years old!! And when she does get a little older, which will happen pretty soon and if she goes to day care or preschool she will probably stop even faster.

i,m sorry thats just gross, she's been doing it since she was little and you are just now concerned, maybe you should ask her to give them to you so you can...never mind that was insensitive ,help her blow her nose before she puts her finger in it, or maybe try telling her that if she keeps putting her finger in her nose it just might get stuck, or try honey do you see the other kids doing that, and when she says no why tell her because it's gross and you really need to use a hanky..

No matter you try it will come down to you slapping her hands since you didn't stop it early on.

i think you may just have to wait awhile and as soon as she goes to preschool or is around other kids and one of her peers makes fun of her then she will prob stop. video tape her and then play it back for her.
