At this stage of the game, can we just pull our soldiers out, and supply the Democracy in Iraq with ammo, food and funds and have them fight their own revolution instead of fighting FOR them? We've been there too long, and too many people think we're trying to "Westernize" them anyway...let's go back to why we're there in the first place!

We have learned a little from this. Simply funding can sometimes backfire. Osama got some of his first weapons when the US funded Afghan fighters who were fighting the Soviet invasion in the 1980's. Those weapons ended up in the control of the Taliban.

We Supported Saddam in its war with Iran in the 1980's, turned out to be not such a good idea in hindsight.

In a region the the US is unfortunately, absolutely reliant on economically, we cannot afford a massive out of control conflict which is what we would have if we just cut and ran now.

Better Idea
Make North Korea a member of the "Coalition". Send in 250,000 Goosestepping "Peoples Volunteers" (they work cheap). Pull our troops out and let the godless Commies and Muslim Fanatics go at it. Reagans dream come true

I don't think so, but I wish we could.

Reagan did it in Central America. And that's what we TRIED to do in VietNam, at points.

I wish we could follow that model.
