Regular steel like electric boxes. Also copper wire--How long does it take for copper wire to corrode?

Corrosion depends upon the application , in which service the steel or copper is used.
Corrosion is directly related to temperature,pressure,
vacuume ,moisture,pH AND many more factors.
for example ,in concentrated acid steel will get corred within 4 hrs to 1 day.It depends upon concentration.
If the same material is used for anhydrous acid , then it will last long.
Chloride attack of water leads to stress corrosion cracking in SS304 but duplex steel will last long.
