It really just depends on your pain tolerance and where the tattoo will be going. Usually the places where there is more tissure (or muscle) will have less pain. I have 3 tat's. One on each fore-arm and one on my right calf. The one's on my fore-arms felt like the tingle feeling your foot gets when it falls asleep. Now the one on my calf kinda stung a bit. But I do have a high pain tolerance though. I hope this helps you.

Yep it hurts. How badly do you want a tattoo and are you really sure what you want tattooed on your body? Before you go make sure the tattoo artist is an artist. So many people don't talk to the tattoo artist much before they get one, and they don't ask to see samples of their work. Ask to see what the tatto artist's work looks like. Because even if you don't think it hurts too much, it really hurts when you realize you got someone that just screwed up an area on your skin.

I think it has to do with body fat. I got lots, I actually LIKE getting tattoos, if I could afford it, I would take a tattoo over a back massage. Also, i think a bikini wax hurts more than a tattoo..tattoos just take longer

It greatly depends on the location of the tattoo and your tolerance of pain. To me, my first tattoo felt sort of like a bunch of bee stings and then after only a few minutes I didn't feel a thing.

It depends where you get it and how much meat you have where you get it! I have one on my shoulder and it hurt like hell. I'm 5'7 and weigh 135 pounds..so my back is kinda boney! When you do decide to get one, choose a less tender place. Maybe your calf, lots of muscle and tissue, or maybe even your ***!! lol! My sister got one on the top of her foot and said it hurt like hell! Just find a meaty sopt on your bod for your first one. Then once you realise it dont hurt so bad, you can go other places!

it depends what part of your body you get it at.. it will hurt regardless but some parts hurt less than others.... i have one on my lower back.. it hurt but it wasn't hurting to the point where i wanted to cry or anything. its not a nice feeling but some people love the pain.. i also have one by my hip, now that one hurt soooo much more than the lower back one. i'm not sure why... maybe because there is more tender skin there? who knows but they all hurt!!

It depends on who you are. Some people can take it with no problem, but others might say that it kind of stings. It may hurt for a little while, but when its over you will be fine.

It depends on where you get it and then it is all up to the tattoo artist. I've found that they control the amount of pain you actually feel.

You know how if you take a pin and write on your skin with it...make white marks on your skin. That's how it feels but after 45-60 minutes of that over and over again on the same spot it really starts to get on the nerves.
