I have dirty blonde hair can i dye my own hair a darker brown?

yes you can i have RED hair and i mean REALLY RED as i got older i wanted to dye my hair dark brown and it turned out perfect i have asked people who work at salons and they say that browns are pretty safe for everyone to use (they wont like turn your hair green or anything like that lol) and your a dirty blonde so i think that it will turn out beautiful but if you want you can go to a salon and ask them and they will tell you what to do and give you some really great tips like they did me and now i dye my own hair at home one of the tips i liked best it before you use a permentent hair color try a color rinse to make sure you LOVE the color and make sure the color rinse is the same brand as the dye so it will be the same color beacause brands very by color and the way it will turn out and after you do dye your hair stick to that brand because if you switch brands later you might really dry out your hair (i learned the hard way) i love to use Garnier Fructis because it makes your hair super soft and silky!!! Yes you can dye your hair a darker brown but there are some exceptions. It really depends on the type of brown u trying to go, cuz a dirty blonde to me is considered an "Ash Blonde" in cosmetologist terms and if u put a brown on it, 95% of the time it will turn green and Ikno u dont want that. So pick a brown that doesnt have to much of a red tint to it. Just look on the box.

yes you can. Go to a drug store and pick out the color you want ... if your hair is light then it should come out almost exactly as it is on the box ... if you've never dyed your own hair have someone who's done it before help you, start with dry, dirty hair (not freshly washed) ... read all the directions and make sure to saturate all your hair ... start with the roots and then do the rest ... the roots should be one for 20 mins and the rest should take 10 ... total of 30 minutes ... then rinse your hair out and use the conditioner that comes with the dye ... good luck, and have fun

You might could start out slowly and see how you like it.
1. Get a frosting cap from Sally's or some place like that.
2. Get a frosting crochet hook needle
3. Get any kind of light brown permanent hair color. Light brown will make it dark enough for you.
4. Pull hair through holes in cap
5. Mix up the brown color and put it on hair that is pulled through cap.
6. Don't leave it on longer than it says or it won't do right.
7. Get in the shower and rinse color off. Take off cap and shampoo.
You really can't mess up doing this.

Or, you could put the light brown color all over your hair. You might even be happier with dark blond which will actually be light brown when it gets on your hair.

go to any drug store, walmart type store and by a semi-perm. This way it will wash out in 28 days and will not hurt your hair and you will not see your blonde roots growing back. Also, if you have not reached that wonderful age in your life of becoming a woman, do not dye it. Many hair stylist recommend that if your body has not reached that point the color may not take or it might not come out the correct color.

I started out with a darker color....then chose to go more auburn. I use Garnier for the auburn coloring...holds longer and works great. Hope it helps

Get a high lighter kit from like wal*mart or something...do a color like 2 shades darker then what you have now...I did the same...it looks really really good!!

yes use only a haircolor that has no ash brown listed in the ingredients. i use a dark golden brown . good luck
