scruffy will not leave her alone hes always trying to mount her but he cant because he's smaller than kuka and he barks and whines when he cant get to her, i chained him up because he gets out of the fence and bites people so kuka gets really far away from him and he just barks and whines all day. i tried putting him inside but it only got worse, he scratches at the door and stays there all day! help?

Well, he needs to deal with it. Don't let them mate.
My advice is to wait until after her cycle is over, then get her spayed. Neutering your male will also curb some behavioral problems and enable a male and female to coexist better together.

you need to get her spayed and him neutered if you think he cant get her preg your wrong when its time she will lay down or what ever needs to be done so he can reach her. and if he doesnt some other dog will since they are outside. dont think because she is in a pen she is safe either because she will back up to the fence to let them get her the only way to fix this is to fix them you should anyway why bring more pups into this world when we are over flowing with them now?

there isn't much u can do, because no matter what u do scruffy will always want to get to her, so u just have to wait until the time passes

Aside from keeping them away as you currently are, the only idea i can think of is fix one or both of them.

This is a common problem, no sweat.... If you want puppies, they will find a way,,,,if not, seperate. FIX the ***** and you will not have to deal with it again!

Get your dogs fixed! You can't train away a dog's natural urges.

You just have to keep them separated or each time he tries to mount her squirt him with water so he will leave her alone.

get them both fixed because you are no breeder. there is already to many backyard breeders in the world.

Same thing like man,cold long shower.Do-it and you will see
results...check with your vet. first, we love our pets
