Could this be true? That if God is all power-full, he should be able to create a rock that is so heavy, he himself cannot lift? If he cannot create such a rock, does this mean he is not all-powerful for he should have the ability to do so? If he could create such a rock, then would that mean he is not all-powerful? If either case is true, then God is not what many claim him to be; an all-powerful being. Has anyone an argument that can counter this concept?

In either case, believing this concept is appealing to your statement, limitation of the intelligence, and denying it, once more is limiting oneself in believing something that cannot be proven (jumping into conclusion so to speak). This concept is quite legit all around, for it makes quite a bit of sense. Only reason it stands out as a paradox is that many believe God is true. Obviously something has to be the case, God is either not all-powerful, he is all-powerful, or this concept is not at all true, which in case the premises behind such a concept remains... for they seem legit.

You can't do better than that, can you? Paradoxs are a construct of the human limited intelligence. They do not define truth they only demonstrate our limited ability to accept it.

There are a number of things which God cannot do, and which are not the subject of omnipotence. I take it that God is rational and is constrained by that rationality --which BTW is not discursive in nature. So, the assertion that "...he should be able to create a rock that is so heavy, he himself cannot lift" has no logical bearing. There is no algebraic solution to the general quintic (ax^5 + bx^4 +cx^3 + dx^2 + ex + f = 0). God might happen to know what the solution is for any particular quintic but it won't stem from a general algebraic one. So, the fact that God is bound by rationality says something which constrains *any* notion of God.
This places a restriction on conversations about God as well. Christians who don't get this point make as little sense as this very question does.

Your final edit doesn't help, either. It is poor reasoning style to develop a straw concept, know it down, and then assert that it is the concept used when others for it has bearing use it. You concept of omnipotence is just as defective as those hold that the powers of God are unlimited.

Your premis SEEMS legit, except for the word omnipotence. God's omnipotence doesn't mean he's stupid. God won't do anything against his character, such as creating something greater than Himself. It would be self-defeating, and therefore, not something God would do, whether He's capable of it or not.
Just remember, God escaped death itself. I think that's quite a bit more important than making a rock.

The 'rock so big he can't move it' paradox is built on a logical fallacy known as the 'false premises' fallacy, in which the arguement is based on two contradicting ideas.
For example, you can't say that 2 + 2 does and does not equal 4, or that God both exists and does not exist.

The philosophical rationale is that a supreme being, God, cannot act in an illogical manner with respect to that being's divine and perfect attributes. Hence, God cannot make a rock so big that He could not move it, nor could God do anything that would be a logical contradiction to His divine nature.
Omnipotence means God can do everything **that is possible** within the boundaries of a supreme being. Omnipotence doesn’t mean that God can do anything. The concept of omnipotence has to do with power, not ability per se. In fact, there are many things God can’t do, for example,
- God can’t make square circles.
- God cannot lie.
- What God has created in His image, God cannot annihilate (to erase from existence, to destroy completely).
-**God cannot create a morally free creature that couldn’t choose evil or the creature would not be morally free to choose.**
None of these, though, have to do with power. Instead, they are logically contradictory, and therefore contrary to God’s rational nature.

Omnipotence is a paradox in and of itself. There are limits to everything, and there can be no omnipotent being, just like there can be no universal solvent, what would you put it in. There is no counter, they usually just say God cannot be questioned or limited. Good luck.
