I think that fear is inherent in us and is part of the dark side of our nature, it can seem to be contagious when a collective threat appears, and we will all usually react in the same way to it like 9/11 for instance, yet fear can be helpful too,it makes us flee from personal danger and seems to act like a trip-switch.

It's been referred to as "the spirit of fear" so I believe it is spirtual, not viral. When you are afraid, you are giving the spirit of fear power over you.

Definitely! I'm not sure how it spreads though....fear is tangible, so I assume it spreads energetically.
