Nosebleeds are often a sign of high blood pressure.

Have your blood pressure checked, and if it's out of control, the doctor may prescribe medications to lower it and stop the nosebleeds.

He may also find some problems with the way your blood vessels are arranged in your nose, and might be able to help correct that.

If your nosebleeds are caused by capillaries near the surface of the nasal membranes, a physician can cauterize them to reduce bleeding events.

I had them terrible as a kid, no doctors in our life unless a bone was actually sticking out of the body. My dad cured them by forcing me to drink a large glass of gellatin a couple times a week for a few months. I haven't had one in 40 years.
