in order for that to happen our current system of government would have to be completely overthrown and replaced with a totally fascist government (even more so than now) most likely america would be thrown into a fierce civil war and wouldnt get much farther than canada and latin america.
so lets pretend a leader managed to unite america in a solid fascist state
America would be totally outnumbered and in a matter months the end result would no doubt be nuclear winter. the end of the world.
so again let's pretend conventional warfare only.
Europe and Russia would set up coalition forces in northern canada while US forces in Japan would declare marshal law and use the island as a stage to invade china and the korean peninsula.
most of southern canada would likely fall within the opening days of the war and latin america would be quickly overrun
Alaska would be an american spearhead seperating eastern russia from forces in northern canada forcing supplies and troops to come from europe across the atlantic or over the pole from russia.
It's likely that The US, after an especially bloody campaign, would gain complete air superiority of the entire world within six months to a year assuming the planning went smoothly and america managed to secure northern africa and cut off the south from euro-russian forces.
Problems would arise as american forces would finally be forced to slowdown and sink in to four or five front war.
theres no way that china would be taken and my guess is that all see lanes and the entire american naval force would be crushed by the combined forces of the rest of the world.
america would have superiority in the air and only in the air
the tide would turn frighteningly quick against america as seabound supply routed were completely cutoff.
After that with the rest of the world sharing manpower resources and technology america would fall just as quickly as it had invaded.
My guess is that a sizable percentage of the Entire world be lost on combat. With the largest casualties coming to china america and southern europe.
Most of japan would lie in ruin as well as canada and northern africa
it's be the worst thing that could ever happen to human kind
short of nuclear holocaust
Thank god for checks and balances :)
I think Tom Clancy should write a book on that :) :)

There have been many tries to take over the world. America has never tried or ever wanted to. Without America, Hitler would have had a good shot at it.
With the help of Japan and Italy they would have conquered the rest of the world, then Hitler would have taken his buddies Japan and Italy. With out having to fight no two fronts, Russia would go down the drain.
So, if there was no America Hitler would have the world in his grip. Then the problems would start. Conquering, and holding ( controlling ) are two different things.
Through his savage methods Hitler was able to control the countries that he conquered, but spread that area out ten times, no way.
The only way to ever have peace in the world is to convince people to refuse to work and fight for any leader who talks expansion. Let each keep what is his, but be good neighbors.

Religious fundamentalists, I don't want to hear from any of you. This is just my opinion and it isn't influenced by anything the Bible says, but purely based on what a PRACTICAL solution would be: so BACK OFF!
In my most humble opinion, the way the world is going, we need a one-world government tailored by the principles of WESTERN Democracy*, and equally represented by every country in the world.
That would eliminate wars, would be able to make justice more readily available, as well as more humane, and every person in the world would enjoy the same standard of living we are enjoying in the western world so there wouldn't be any need for immigration based either on financial or political needs, and to have a TRUE separation between church and state, where religion wouldn't again have a basis for world domination, but would simply influence people on a PERSONAL level instead.

Are you drunk-Stud? Kobe isn't or ever may be greater suitable suited than Jordan, you delusional Lakers followers think of of the three titles they gained hence of certainty of Shaq are greater suitable then the six gained with the help of skill of Jordan? kobe won't in any admire worry-loose 37pts a interest, and can desire to consistently be good-observed as a rapist, isn't that kinda unhappy? Mishy-Kobe grew to alter into into 0.33 in scoring throughout the extensive-unfold season, you bandwagoners will say something questioning no-one else is well-known with counsel. the great and comfortable button is the Lakers won't have the skill to tournament up with the Magic, Bynum, Gasol, Odom (maximum suitable underachiever of all time) isn't waiting to guard Hedo, and Rashard on the perimeter, and there is not any doubt no-you are able to take care of Howard, i'm advantageous Kobe will take his 30-35 pictures a interest in spite of the undemanding certainty that, and make that whinny face whilst each and every call does no longer bypass his way.

The world is to big to "take" over. But we could completely destroy it if we wanted. Of course we would never do that.
Thank your lucky stars America is the most powerful nation on earth.

Have you ever read the book "Starship Troopers" by Robert A. Heinlen? If not, I highly recommend it. You can get a better overall view of world-wide American domination from the book faster than from me explaining it to you.

we wouldnt beable to. now if our country was thinking like china. that would be a different story. we probably would have taken over north and most of south america by now. we have the technology. just not the soldiers. plus i wouldnt want the USA to start invading everyone... we need to have people look after our backs like just all the other countrys. we need Allies... if we started that all our European Allies would start attacking us. and eventually we'd be totally F***ed

I believe England tried to do it once and went bankrupt. They are now a lapdog for the larger countries that have more power.
