No holy book should be taken literally, because people have a tendency to become dangerously fanatic to a cause that they believe to hold the absolute truth. Holy books are wonderful guidance tools when dealing with personal problems, but to base your entire life around a book, as though it is literal, is unreasonable.

Maybe we all should say Qur'an since that's the literally word of God. Probably translations need to be studied and one Holy Book could be published of the Torah, the Bible, and Qur'an since I believe tolerance, and peace, and human rights should be honored and I'm a little biased as I have Muslim friends.

Unless specifically instructed in the q'uran for the quote/instruction, how can you NOT take something literally???
Doing so on your own decision makes YOU the decider of the q'uran and not the other way around.
In other words, if you do not take the q'uran literally, you are challenging the q'uran. Are you allah? You're not right? So? If you want to be a trueeee muslim, you better stick to the q'uran, bolt nuts and sinker. And don't let anyone fool you with their OWN grandmother's interpretation.

The Koran is the word of God--spoken through the Angel Gabriel. You cant just read one section--you have to try and read as much as much as you can because it all ties together.

Quran book is a myth or a fiction, in contrast to the Bible it is history. Quran is comparable to the book of ancient myth of Roman, Greek or even the book of Sanscrit and Veda.
