My 4 year old daughter' long hair has only recently seemed to become very dull and lacklustre. What could be a reason for this? It still looks healthily shiny, but the color has dulled and almost looks unwashed when it is freshly washed and just doesnt seem quite right.
Any ideas out there? What could cause it? What can I do to help it regain its beauty?

well i am not a hairdresser that's for sure. i can tell you that hair can be used to tell if a person is ill or how long they have been ill . i suggest that if your child has not had a visit to the doctors lately you might want to work that say with her next regular appointment if one is near .

Perhaps she is missing vital nutrients/vitamins. However, if your daughter appears healthy, then the problem could be that there is, in fact, no problem at all. Her hair color & texture might simply be changing with age.

You might want to try switching her shampoo and conditioner. Also, try giving her a hot oil treatment once a week. I hope this helps!

Are you still using baby shampoo?? Once your hair begins to get a bit thicker, baby shampoo is good once a week, even for adults. (It helps to strip any build-up.) I would actually start looking at kid-friendly shampoos and conditioners or visit your nearest salon.

Best of luck,
