The pain isn't that bad, its like when you nick yourself with ur razor while shaving, it stings, but just be careful of the place. The place is a huge factor, if its somewhere thin, such as a foot or the neck, it'll hurt worse than somewhere like your leg or back. Just remember, everyone's pain tolerence is different. for example, when i got my belly button ring, my bff cried and said it was the most painful thing she ever went through, when i got it, i didn't even feel it! There are always going to be ppl who hate tattoos, but they most likely wouldn't say anything, just give you a wierd look, tattoos are super hott in some guys' minds, but remember, a tattoo is for life, its more pain to get it removed than to get it on, so choose a place where you'll be happy with it for the rest of your life, and a design that you dont mind looking at for the rest of your life. If you have seriously thought about it, i say go for it, but if you're even the slightest hesitant about it, id say to hold off and think about it a little more! good luck with your choice!

I strongly advise you not to do it. Tattoos, like everything else, will go out of fashion sometime. Maybe it won't be for another five years, but it will happen. Then what? You'll be stuck with a tattoo for the rest of your life, and it won't look so cool anymore. Also try imagining yourself as fifty years old, with saggy skin and a droopy tattoo, or in a nursing home sporting a big scorpion on your thigh. I feel that the only possible pro to getting a tattoo would be that it would 'look cool' and trust me, that won't be the case once Nicole Richie finds herself a new trend to sport.

I was in your position and decided to get one on the lower right side of my back as you were describing because of my profession. Now I have two and want a third. Its a great place to put them because it wasn't very painful (it just goes to a dull ache after about 5 minutes) and it's almost always covered so it's sexy and won't fade quickly. Hope you enjoy! (btw, I got a pegasus and an angel :) )

Get what you want, where you want.

Why do people feel the need to bash on the tattoo site.
If you truely know yourself, you will not regret your tattoo.
If you are a flighty and change alot, then perhaps you should wait. But I know myself, and I know that when I am 70 years old, I will look at my tattoo and it will represent who I was at 30, and it will make me happy.

Knowing yourself is the key

A scorpion just under your belt line is very sexy, and can be covered when you dont want anyone to see it. It doesnt hurt that bad.

yeah, it hurts, but not "unbearable" and you're smart to have something that is about YOU, not just a picture you like today and will hate later. I actually have a capricorn sign myself. Go for it if that's what you really want (remember it's gonna be there forever)
