I don't know what preschool chains are where you are. Around me the choices are Goddard, La Pettite, Children's World, and Kindercare. Plus you can look into local church preschools.
You'll have to ask people around you what they can suggest. Once you narrow your choices down make sure you go and visit the site. Ask lots of questions.

Santa Monica's "Hill and Dale". My son went there, and they do a fantastic job, serve a hot lunch, potty train, teach kids how to work out problems with other kids, and prepare them for kindergarten. It is on 26th St. at Colorado. They also try to make the student body diverse by including single-parent families, including all races, and cognitive styles.

Crossroad Christian academy......They are in Garden across from El Camino college and I believe they have extended hours after school.
