I've been in your position, I feel your pain and I understand what you are going through. I got through it from keeping a journal, spending time with my friends, keeping busy with school and work, and just trying to live my life the best way I know how. Truthfully, nothing really makes you feel better right away, there's no miracle here. You need to just go through these emotions for a while and then when enough time and distance has passed, you'll begin to see things in a different light. This is going to take time, only time can take the memory of him away and lessen the heartache and loneliness you feel.
Be assured that you will take away from this experience, a better sense of who you are and end up feeling stronger. I look back to the guy that broke my heart and now I realized he was all wrong for me in the first place, but it took a lot of pain and tears for me to go through in order to realize that.
This is a part of life, this is what makes us grow, you're going to be ok and when all of this is done and over you will see him for what he really is. He's probably not the man who can love you the way you need to be loved, and some day you willl see, that you can only be with a man who loves you the way you want to be loved.

turning off your phone sounds like a good idea. then pack your bags and take a trip with the girls. the guy may be gone, but your life isn't over. what you need to do now is take some classes, throw yourself into your work, volunteer. anything to keep your mind busy. what's to say Mr Right isn't right around the corner.

Try talking to someone about it first. You're best friend maybe.
If that doesn't work, think of the bad things about him. Try if you can find another guy. It'll definitely get your mind off him and on another, who may not desert you.

time heals all wounds. outside of that, the next best thing is to either stay busy with friends/family/hobbies or to dive right in with someone else.

Thats horrible.
First, Resolve with yourself that someone left you with no words as to why.
Second, Heal yourself with tranquil timeouts.
