first off is your hair natural if you want to keep it natural then get olive oil and and get an ionized straightening iron and it will make it straight if your thinking about getting a perm or want one then i suggest mizani or dudley hair products both are really great and will not take your hair out . But make sure if you wanna get a perm that you put alot of thought into it. good luck though!

If you are black and have medium to course (nappy grade) hair like I do---the trick is to let your hair dry naturally after you wash it--instead of blowdrying it. Then when its dry, blowdry it in sections using a light grease. In beauty supply stores, buy a "beveller"/flat iron, which a tool that looks like 2 spatulas stick together--and you can use that to straighten each section of your hair.

If you are latino and have silky-thick hair--you might want to consider getting a mild perm--the kind that black women use to get straight hair. They sell perms for Spanish women in the stores now--which is probably much milder than what black women use. I think Mariah Caery got a perm to get that bone-straight look--because her hair used to be thick and culry (she is half spanish/black).

you should try blow-drying it straight first. if you're not satisfied with the result, you can also use flat irons/straightening irons to do the job. but if you want semi-permanent straightening, you should try a hair relaxing or rebonding treatment.
