Global warming is real, that's why the Boreal summer sea ice limits are farther North than seen for a long time & why the Greenland icecap is reduced by about a quarter over the past 20 years.
However, mans influence is less easy to ascertain, but we have hugely alterd the carbon cycle of the planet.
The advent of cold lighting systems should mean that the Blackpool lights are going to be brighter, more colourful, cheaper and safer to run than ever before, but it may be a while before the technology gets to that sort of system

I don't think they will stop the Blackpool illuminations because it's a way of extending the season. If the lights went out it would be because of a general power cut, not a decision about global warming. They may change the kind of light bulbs used though, and that's only sensible in the light of diminishing energy choices. Oil supply is declining, and coal will have to take up some of the slack in electricity generation, perhaps revitalising old coal mining communities, and bring wealth back to those areas. We may have to endure power failures until secure supplies of fuel are established and ways of burning it without contributing to our CO2 emissions are worked out.

Perhaps they will use some sort of solar energy stored in a capacitor during the day and used to power the lights at night. As oil becomes more expensive, more Brits will have to holiday at home, so visitor numbers should go up, eventually. We have to work out what we are going to do when fossil fuels run out, so if we put systems in place now, we won't have to invest in them in the future, when they will probably be more expensive to implement.
